PAYE payment dates calculator
Your next PAYE and National Insurance payment dates as an employer, monthly or quarterly, including the ones that move because of a weekend or bank holiday.
General information, not tax advice. Your amounts are in your payroll software and HMRC online account.
How the dates are worked out
Monthly. PAYE tax and Class 1 National Insurance for each tax month must reach HMRC by the 22nd of the next tax month if you pay electronically, or by the 19th if you post a cheque. Tax months run from the 6th of one month to the 5th of the next, so the month from 6 September to 5 October is due by 22 October.
Quarterly. If you usually pay less than £1,500 a month, you may be able to pay quarterly instead by contacting HMRC's payment helpline. Quarters end on 5 July, 5 October, 5 January and 5 April, and payment is due by the 22nd after the end of the quarter.
Weekends and bank holidays. If the 22nd is not a working day, the payment must reach HMRC by the last working day before it, unless you pay by Faster Payments.
