1. Who we are
Cadence Fi Ltd ("Cadence", "we", "us") provides financial intelligence software for businesses. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@cadencefi.co.uk.
2. What data we collect
We collect: account information (name, email, password: stored as a secure hash, never in plain text); company information you provide (company name, industry, financial data you enter or connect via integrations); usage data (how you interact with the application, for the purpose of improving the product); and technical data (IP address, browser type, device information, collected automatically for security purposes).
3. How we use your data
We use your data to: provide and operate the Cadence service; calculate financial forecasts and insights specific to your business; respond to support requests; send essential service communications; and protect against fraud and abuse.
4. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored in the UK. To run Cadence we use carefully selected service providers for hosting, data storage, payment processing, email delivery and AI-powered features (our “processors”). They handle personal data only on our instructions and under agreements that protect it, and where a provider processes data outside the UK we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place. A list of our providers is available on request at hello@cadencefi.co.uk.
5. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; export your data in a portable format; and object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights from your account settings, or by contacting hello@cadencefi.co.uk.
6. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
7. Third-party integrations
If you connect third-party services such as Xero, we access only the data necessary to provide our forecasting and reporting features, under the permissions you grant during connection. We do not sell or share your financial data with third parties for marketing purposes.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, following established industry practice. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we keep our approach under review.
9. Contact and complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle your data, contact us at hello@cadencefi.co.uk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
