Cash flow forecasting for Xero
Connect Xero and Cadence turns your invoices and bills into a week-by-week forecast of your bank balance, then keeps it up to date every day.
What Cadence reads from Xero
Read-only. Cadence never creates, changes or deletes anything in Xero.
- Sales invoices
- Unpaid invoices become money coming in. Paid ones show how long each customer really takes to pay.
- Bills
- Unpaid bills become money going out, on their due dates.
- Your chart of accounts
- So you can map Xero accounts to categories once, and every new invoice and bill lands in the right place.
- Contacts
- Customer and supplier names, so each one has a page with its history.
What Cadence adds
Accounting software records what has happened. A forecast needs what is about to happen.
- Expected payment dates for each customer, learned from how they have paid before, not just the due date.
- VAT, PAYE and corporation tax bills placed in the forecast in the week they are due.
- Recurring income and costs that never appear as an invoice or bill, such as card payments and payroll.
- Your cash buffer, with a warning for every week the forecast falls below it.
- Scenarios for a new hire, a lost client or a big purchase, without touching your accounts.
More on the gap between accounting data and a forecast: building a cash flow forecast from Xero data.
Connecting takes a few minutes
- Start a free trial. No card needed.
- In Settings, open Integrations and choose Connect Xero.
- Sign in to Xero on Xero’s own page and pick the organisation to connect.
- Cadence reads the last 12 months of invoices and bills and builds the forecast.
After that, Cadence syncs every morning, and you can sync on demand at any time. Only admins can connect or disconnect Xero. Disconnecting stops the sync and deletes the access Cadence held; the data already brought in stays until you delete it.
Xero is included on every plan. See plans and pricing
Your data
Access to Xero is granted by you on Xero's sign-in page; Cadence never sees your Xero password. The access keys are stored encrypted and separately from your figures. How the rest of your data is protected is on the security page.
Not on Xero? Cadence also imports from a spreadsheet (CSV). All integrations
